Called the parts number to get them ordered for my tractor and was told they were only available on-line. Found that hard to believe so went to the store. Found the kiosk in the departmenrt. Followed the promtps and low and behold the items came up available on the shelf. Raised tractor and removed the old blades. Would be nice to have "grass side" stamped on the blades like the regular one. Finally figured out which that there is only one way to install. Worked good on the tractor. The yard looks a lot better being able to mulch instead of bagging.
handles all mulching needs
make sure you get right center hole shape
This part works well with my tractor
I got this for my craftsman 42' zero turn tractor, they work ok but no were near as good as the original ones that came with the tractor. The original one lasted me over a year even after taking them down a few times to charpen them. This replacement ones have lasted me a few months but in their defence I can tell you that they are 100% better than the yellow ones I got from *****, they lasted a month and a halve so this red ones are better. And the tractor is great. Love it and recomend it. If I had to buy another onen i would buy this one again. Hope this helps.
Ended up being the wrong star pattern for the mower and after running the mower with the blades on they were damaged and I could not return them. Had to buy ANOTHER SET with proper star pattern. I literally wasted nearly $50 in wrong blades.
These blades seem to cut and recut the grass before they get into the bagger.
I am in my 3rd year with these blades, they work great. I can definitely see a difference between these and a standard blade. I have sharpened them at least once per season, and they still cut great. They cost a little more, but i think it's well worth it, especially if you like to mulch your clippings.
I was surprised at how smooth the finished cut was with these blades. They did a real good job of mulching up the cuttings and leaving the ground clean.
