after reading other reviews i decided to purchase this gazebo. the installation was difficult and time consuming, but in the end it all fit together well. it will help to have a tap set to clean up any screw hole threads that you mess up. i had to do this a few times but it was easy with the right tool. you really have to take you time with this install but in the end where i thought i would have the most problems, the final roof finish fit together without difficulty. i am disapointed that the lights dont work. some plugs were wired in reverse, one had the wrong plug on it and after fixing it still doesnt work.. it is a beautifull gazebo and i will get the lights to work. it seems sturdy and the netting and canvas are of good quality, including the zippers. so far i am happy with it. just to follow up. i have used it for the summer and love it. also i did get the lights to work. very glad i got this one.
1st I had to return the entire merchandise. The poles were bent. Then got it back after 1wk and half ; still missing parts. Plus the lights does not work. One pole light is crack. I had it put up because it was for 4th July with my friends. The manager at Sears was trying to get us set up. He really tried, we got a net from the returned box. The curtain was received on Monday 8th. It does not give you shade. You still feel the rays of the sun. Honestly I believe as expensive as it is; I was disappointed.
Had this product put up by a professional which cost $500. It is a very nice looking Gazebo, but it leaks VERY badly in several places. So if you want this just for looks, it's great, but don't expect it to keep out the rain.
This year we decided to get a hardtop gazebo that will hopefully last longer then the 3 years we typically get from the canvas top ones, so far we couldn't be happier with this one. It is very sturdy, heavy duty without being too heavy and we love that it came with both screens and the nice canvas sides. The netting and sides are hung with nice metal hooks. We picked it up at the store, it is heavy so we just opened the boxes, took the parts out and carried them to the deck, as we get older we try to work smarter not harder. That being said it was just my husband and myself assembling it, so over two days it took about 6 hours. We are both fairly mechanically inclined so the instructions weren't too hard to follow. We did use a rubber mallet to GENTLY tap the panels into place which were clearly marked with plastic cling wrap that said "this side in and this side out" and so far we have no leaks. We love how the sunlight comes through the top but not the heat. Very happy so far
I was leery of buying something like this sight unseen but I LOVE THIS SHELTER! We bolted it down to our concrete patio and so far it has stood up to 50mph wind gusts. Love the privacy curtains! It helps with the wind and makes you feel like you're in your own little world. It did take 2 ppl and about 6 hours to install.
my gazebo was just dropped off today, red flag poped up boxs where damaged framing seem ok but roof tile box has 3 damaged tiles. trying to get them to send another box of roof tiles so i know i can start and fininsh the job of putting it up then i can send the rest back. but over all i like the framing and the roof tiles are nice, should beable to see the stars through them at nite. one concern is they are saying you might want to take down in the winter months ,they need to comment on that a little more specific,s on that i was under the impression it was a 4 season gazebo. so if you have large hail are high winds i guess you might want to take it down, bye for nowq will finish this after i put it up,, thanks
We placed the gazebo onto our pool deck. From a distance the hardtop looks like copper. It is very sturdy and the the mosquito netting and canvas curtains certainly keep the sun out. We love this product! The only problem is with 2 of the solar lights not working, but we are hoping they will work soon.
We ordered this gazebo on line and it arrived to the store within 4 days. My husband and I were able to put it together - which took us about 7 1/2 hours. We had all the pieces and everything lined up perfectly. The structure seems like a heavy duty, sturdy material. It came with curtains that are made from a thick canvas material, and also a set of screen curtains to keep the bugs out. The gazebo also came with a remote control to turn the solar lights on and off. The roof has a uv coating on the outside for protection, but still allows sunlight to get through. It's not like being totally in the shade. It hasn't rained yet, so we're not sure if there's any leaks, but so far we really like it.
