We got such a good deal on our refrigerator. The price was great, the Salesman (Gary) was very knowledgeable and made sure that we were completely satisfied. I highly recommend the Bangor Sears.
Nice inside lots of depth. However, I am not trilled with the quality of some of the material used. The plastic parts are nnot if very good quality. It looks and feel cheap. Including the plastic used for the freezer top tray. Ice developed on the front of the tray.
Wonderful. The door storage is fantastic and blue led light is easy on the eyes when searching for that next snack or supplies for your next meal. There is a lot of storage and its designed ti be able to see all the items so stuff doesn't get lost in the back of the unit.
I absolutely LOVE this refrigerator. It looks gorgeous in my kitchen (I also just purchased a Kenmore Elite 5.8 cu. ft. stove, see my review on that), and they look wonderful together. We were very limited due to space requirements in our kitchen, but this model fits the bill perfectly! It has so much room in it. I can actually see what's in my refrigerator now, and I don't have to pile stuff up on the shelves. We love the huge light panel inside, it is awesome. Plenty of room on the sides to store large juice bottles. The shelves themselves move very easily. And let us not forget the pantry drawer - it is the piece de resistance!! I always stock a lot of cheeses, cold cuts, dry sausages, etc., and now instead of having them all piled up inside a tiny drawer like we used to have to do, now everything can be nicely displayed so it's all visible. I also really like the freezer down below, as it has plenty of room with the three compartments and when you pull it out it's easy to see what you have. The ice maker is wonderful, and the tray is a lot bigger than our old one. We always have more than enough ice. Do be aware though that it may take a day or two to get the ice rolling, so to speak, and you are supposed to throw out the first couple of batches (read the instructions, but I think it's something like the first 24 cubes or so). The refrigerator is very quiet, too, except for the very occasional noise when the icemaker is filling up the water. Other than that, you really don't hear much of anything. My old refrigerator was ridiculously loud, so this is a welcome change. And lastly, the Sears guys who delivered my new appliances were top-notch. They gave me a courtesy call before they got there to tell me they would be there in about 45 minutes (how nice is that!), and they were right on time. They took the time to explain stuff to me (like wipe down the refrigerator before you use it for the first time), and they were very careful when bringing the appliances in. Great job, guys and thanks!
The nicest frig I have ever had. Spacious, large freezer, and refrigerator section. Ice maker is working well. Can look inside and find exactly what I'm looking for. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a french door, bottom freezer and lots of space
Our first French-Door. Inside ice-maker puts out a lot of ice. 2 or 3 times more than the 4.5 yr. old Samsung we had. The 25 cubic ft Samsung had a blower fan motor go out after only 3.9 yrs and the compressor (guts of any fridge) quit after 4.5 yrs. So, far, so good with the new Kenmore. Totally like the three door, much better and efficient than all the side by sides we had over 35 yrs. Our prior Kenmore's and Whirlpool were the best and longest life, thought had trouble with ice makers on them. The Kenmore Elite we bought has great shelf space on doors and inside and crisper bins. Shelves on the doors are great, interior lighting is bright even in the corners. Freezer is very functional and spacious. This one started in the lead from the gate, but time always tells...
The Kenmore Elite 25 cubic ft. was disappointing. I did my research with Consumer Reports and with on-line reviews before I made my choice in the brand of refrigerator I wanted to buy. While the Kenmore Elite gets high marks for the roomy interior and quiet functioning, I experienced a rapid built up of interior moisture within two days of the purchase. This resulted in frost and extreme condensation (which can occur in humid weather, but this was extreme). While the manual instructed to turn off the Energy Saver function if moisture occurred, I felt this defeated the purpose of buying an energy efficient appliance. There did not appear to be a problem with the air vents. Sears customer service agreed to allow a return, but only after I insisted. Sears preferred a repair service call. The delivery team arrived late for the delivery. The defrost pan was full and leaked a vast amount of water on the floor when the delivery team picked up the appliance.
I love it! I wasn't sure I'd like the freezer on the bottom, but I really do. It has so much more space that a side-by-side freezer and it's easy to find what you are looking for. The french doors with the split shelves are awesome. They can be arranged in many ways to accommodate what ever you have and having two doors is really cool!
