As everybody else has said, this is the worst refrigerator ever. My ice maker broke and was repaired. Wow my water valve is dead. They repair guy wanted $400 to fix this lemon. This is the last Sears/Kenmore/Frigidaire product I will ever buy. I wish I knew it was a rebranded Frigidaire before I bought it.
This frig has been great up until I had a leak today. It is currently two years of age. We unplugged it for about an hour and now all is well once again.
Love it except the lighting is extremely poor. I am not totally thrilled about the spacing and shelves other than you can move them. I actually have one complete drawer/shelf out due to having lager bottles etc.
in the door
We just love the smudgeproof fridge!
Was always very skeptic about a Bottom-Freezer. However, loved the "look" and spaciousness of the French Door Fridge....so I took the plunge.....could not be happier. Food in freezer is very easy to find and reach.
We have just purchased this appliance and are still getting used to having a fancy new fridge...but so far so good! I love the French doors, which make getting to everything inside so much easier, especially because the freezer is on the bottom. The smudge proof stainless steel is amazing! We have a toddler and 2 dogs and you can't even tell they've had their hands and paws all over it! Only thing I would chance is I wish the freezer had a little more room, but it works for us, and is actually bigger than our old refrigerator. Would highly recommend!
I think the things I like the most about this fridge are the adjustable shelves and the fact that when you open the door the light comes on slowly - this prevents you from being blinded by a light as you open the doors in the middle of the night! The light feature is great. Also the electronic pad controlling the temperature and ice maker is great, too. I'm very pleased with this fridge so far.
This fridge is HUGE! I bought it because it was one they had in stock and I could take home that same day. I was afraid I wouldn't have enough room with the ice maker being in the fridge and it not having the slim ice maker in the door, but I actually have more room than I know what to do with! I have the fridge full of 2 weeks worth of groceries for a family of 4, plus a gallon of milk, a pitcher of tea, and 32(20 oz) bottles of water and still have room! I love the digital display also. And the drawers for the freezer are nice and easy to access, and have plenty of room for our frozen goods.
This unit is awful. Ice Maker would not dispense ice. The water works, but the ice will not come out. Fixed when under warranty by incompetent service technician. Took 4 visits to unit only after break other parts of the ice maker. Then less then 6 months later, ice would dispense. If you buy do not expect the ice maker to dispense ice long. The design of the ice dispenser has changed since this model. Part is about $90 and 5 minutes of work to install. 1 year warranty from Sears direct, 3 month warranty from the Service Technician. This is the last Sears Appliance I ever buy - poor customer service. Said I should have bought extended warranty to cover their flawed design.
