This table top style heater serves for more than a water heater. With the flat table top it sits next to the washer/dryer and serves as extra counter space. It blends in nicely with the other appliances. Friends have asked me what is that appliance. It sure doesn't look like a water heater. I alone did the installation...simple (saved 249.00).
I am so happy that Kenmore still manufacturer the 40 gallon table top hot water heater. There are many people who live in older homes and this hot water heater is ideal. I sincerely hope you never stop making this style and size hot water heater because a lot of people would be out of luck. I have had my heater for over 20 years and it still heats great. I would rate this hot water heater 5 star all the way. People always ask me, what is that?, referring to the 40 gallon, flat top heater. It does not look like a hot water heater at all and the flat top can be used for so many other things.
This table top hot water heater replaced the same type Kenmore model that was originally installed in our S. Florida home around 1985... and lasted until 2012! I was very happy to find they still had a similar table-top model that fit in the same space next to my clothes washer and dryer and provides a great folding or storage area. It doesn't even look like a hot water heater, and with the 40 gallon capacity and quick recovery time I've never run out of hot water, even with appliances running and teenagers in the shower!
I bought this over two years ago to replace my old one, I love it and my cat loves it, It looks good, pleanty of hot water.
I like this product, because I've had a tabletop model water heater. It no longer work. In searching for another one, I found that Sears had one. I like the appearance, size and the structure of it because most people never realize it's a water heater. I've also had other Kenmore products, such as a washer and it was very dependable and durable. I've found most Kenmore products to be dependable.
