Wish we would NOT have purchased this unit. Starting the washer is incredibly difficult. There is a super long pause in which nothing happens and if you press the button again it pauses. It takes me 5 minutes to start this piece of junk. Would love to return!
I bought this unit because it's the only one that will fit my small laundry space. I knew it would fit because I had the exact same model before, but it finally died. My biggest complaint is the noise it makes during some of the wash cycles. It's even louder than the old one. It's very disruptive in my small 700 sq foot condo. It makes a loud pop sound when it transitions from one cycle to the next. The old one didn't do this. I thought this model would have been refined over the last few years, but I guess not. My clothes are clean, but I"m not really picky. The dryer is quiet and works like a charm. If you're in a small condo and have neighbors above or below you, you might stay away from this unit. There are stack-able models that might be quieter, but I'm sure the price is twice as expensive. Sears had the lowest price of any retailer. They were even lower than my local outlet store. The delivery guys were prompt and nice. All in all I think I'll be satisfied as I only do 2 laundry loads a week.
Well , we bought this 24' laundry center - it's kind of a stack-able washer / dry combination , about a week and a half - maybe two weeks ago. It was on sale at the out let center. It was gas, oh, natural gas , we needed propane. So we had to order a part (wait for it to be delivered fed x) fifty dollars. Then we had to WAIT for the propane company to come and change it from natural gas to a propane hook - up. Oh they charged us a service fee! But he was not the service man that does the installation so he would not hook up the dryer. O k the installation service man came out another day. He tried to get the dryer to work ..... No luck.....The dryer turns on...the drum turns ..the cloths spin round and round........But NO HEAT..SO On Tusday SEARS is comming out to tell us why our new Laundry Center does not work??
The washer stopped working 8 days after the warranty expired. I'm now stuck with a repair bill of nearly half the cost of the unit. Do not waste your money! Also, both the washer and dryer are very loud.
I am so very pleased with my new Laundry Center! It's attractive and compact; and surprisingly has a large capacity for clothes. I also liked the fact that it came with everything needed to set it up; I did not have to buy the usual extras that other washer & dryers do not include. It is also quiet. a high quality product for a low price! This Laundry Center is perfect in every way!
This was a great purchase. Item, price, shipping and installation all excellent. It works like it's supposed to and has done so for years - now it's working flawlessly in a rental property. Can't say enough good about this product. Great value.
I'VE HAD THIS UNIT FOR THE PAST "22"YRS.NEVER GAVE ME A DAY OF TROUBLE!IT'S STARTING TO OVERFLOW WHILE DOING THE WASH?I PICKED UP A NEW PART FOR IT."WATER VAL!"SHOULD BE HERE ON MON.,OCT.31,2011.I PRAY THIS IS ALL THATS WRONG WITH IT?I WOULD LOVE TO GET THE SAME UNIT AGAIN!!! I THINK I PAID ABOUT $1050.00NEW! IT'S THE GAS UNIT! IF I NEED TO GET THIS REPLACED,I WILL TRY MY HARDEST TO GET THE SAMEONE!!!I GIVE IT 5 STARS OUT OF 5!NOTE:"THERE HAS BEEN 4 PEOPLE USING IT!THREE TIMES A WEEK FOR THE PAST 22 YEARS!"GREAT UNIT!!!
I have had this unit for 6 years now and it has not given me any problems at all... ever. I use both the washer and dryer at the same time no problems. We use it frequently during the week (family of 4). The only negative: the buzzer is loud but i've learned to live with it.
I have one since 2000 and it's still functioning! yes it is a bit noisy and it fits in my small unit. I use the machine at least twice a week and only recently has the spring in the washer button is getting a bit rusty. It sometimes tends to get stuck on the rinse and spin cycles to the point where i almost thought i burned out the rubber in it. i think its time i buy a new one, but i would buy the exact same unit again. was worth the money and the years it has given me so far.
When I moved into my first home I was so nervous to buy a stackable unit! I had grown up with a full sized units and wasn't convinced a stackable could get the job done! But my new home only has a tiny laundry closet!! So we took a chance on this Kenmore 24 in stackable unit and it is great! There are only 2 of us living here so it gets the job done and I only do laundry about 2 times a week. Its the perfect size for us! Its not too noisy and you can fit more clothes in than expected! The dryer does take quite awhile to dry large loads especially if there are jeans, but that's to be expected! Other than that I would highly recommend this unit to a 2 person household!
