I purchased the Kenmore Elite washer and Dryer with the drawers and I absolutely love them!!!
I purchased these pedestals at the time I bought the 8110 and 4110 washer and dryer. They are absolutely a "must-have." The storage space is enormous and can hold the giant size detergent and fabric softener. The removable "walls" are adjustable, giving you up to 3 separate compartments in each drawer. They are so functional that I now hide away pet supplies in one and extra towels and linens in the other (in addition to my laundry supplies)!!! They match my machines perfectly and are very sturdy and well built, so I expect them to last for the lifetime of my washer and dryer... Thanks Sears! You came through again!
This pedestal is supposed to match the Blackberry Kenmore Elite washing machine but actually does not match. The color on the sides of the pedestal is a bright burple and if you put the washing machine out in the open the Pedestal stands out and does not match the washing machine properly. I was told that the reason for this is because the washer is made in one place and the pedestal is made in Mexico. I have returned about three pedestals now and the pedestals all come damaged from overtightening of the scres which cause a dented appearance in the metal. I love the inside of the pedestal as it can hold a ton of cleaners. There are actually three rows inside the pestal which are separated by two adjustable "walls". This is a great feature that I just love as you can adjust the rows based on size of cleaner products you purchase. And I prefer the three rows over the two rows of other competing pedestal styles/models. The front of the pedestal matches the washing machine so that part is at least good. The material that it is painted with does attract alot of dust, however it is manageable.
If you are buying front loaders, and why wouldn't you, you MUST buy the pedastals. You will regret it if you don't and they could be discontinued by the time you go in to by them. The storage is wonderful but the extra height is a must. I do about 4 loads of laundry a week and that's enough to not want to be bending over the entire time.
