This is a fantastic dishwasher period. You cannot go wrong with this. It replaced a 15 year old Kitchenaid and does an excellent job. The only detraction is perhaps the front loaded fork knife spoon rack in the door. If you heavy load the washer you will have dirty forks knives spoons...or you can put the rack in the tub area and no problem but less space. Nice features are the very top sprayer that cleans the top of pans and glass bottoms when washing and the top rack "only" washer. Just a great all round washer. Hidden controls aren't a problem for us. Good array of controls also. One hour wash worked great yesterday on Turkey day cleaning of multiple times on rinsed dishes. We rinse and I never find anything...at all... in the cleaning twist off thingy so, don't know what people do that that gets clogged put chunks of food in there? Oh I research hard before buying anything. This one justified my purchase.
It runs quiet. Dishes clean well. Holds more than my last dishwasher, and much quieter. Still getting used to buttons being on the top of the door, but looks so much better this way.
This dishwasher does not wash the dishes, or dry them for that matter. I have tried every setting, soap, drying agent and even tried washing with less dishes. There is always bits of food left in each and every dish. It's not even the food that was eaten off the dish. I rinse everything well too, practically washing before putting it into the machine. Everything is dripping wet when the cycle is done. Not damp, soaking wet! Even on the hottest setting, with a drying agent. We had a repair man come out and he said it's working fine. SUCH A WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!
I love my dishwasher. It's so quiet I can barely tell that it is on. All the dishes come out very clean. But regardless of eco dry or heated dry the dishes are still wet and need to be dried with a towel.
This is great dishwasher. I was hesitant of buying it because of the low price. But I love it. It cleans and dryers great. It's great looking. I recommended.
I've only had this dishwasher a week but I really like it. The design is sleek, it cleans dishes well, and has lots of the features I like such as overnight wash and top rack only wash.
Bought this to replace an older Kenmore dishwasher. It is much quieter and seems to do a good job. About the only complaint I have is some of the slots for the silverware are too small for the handles on our utensils.
The only issue I have with this is the top button location. Based on the cabinets I have it makes it difficult to hit the buttons- we have to open the door to activate. But that is a small issue. Works great, cleaning made easy. The buttons are the only reason I didn't give it a perfect score!
Easy use and works great
This dishwasher is great. It easily holds 2 days of dishes for a family of five. Everything comes out super clean, except the silverware. By having the silverware container on the door it saves lots of space for other items on the bottom rack and I love that. But the silverware often come out dirty. I'm sure this could be remedied by using a basket on the lower rack, but I haven't had the dishwasher long enough to play with other ideas. The buttons and lights are all on the TOP of the door. I like this because I don't bump them by mistake, but depending on how your counter is built, you may not have enough room to view these once the door is shut. It does take a few extra seconds of my time to crouch down and peer between the granite and top of dishwasher when I am selecting the wash. My spouse really hates this feature. The only other concern is that it requires a $4 part to install that is NOT included. It took 7 ********** employees to find this part while I was in the middle of installing the dishwasher. Be prepared, go buy this before you begin install. But really, Whirlpool should just include it. It runs smoothly and quietly, and for the price, I would buy it again.
