Nice portable kit; case holds the assortment. Like the new style ratchet wrench; seems designed to be more comfortable to hold and might be just a bit more slim than the older style, allowing access in those tight spots where a 3/8" might not be tough enough.
This particular set is a good set to keep in your trunk or pickup tool box. All the popular sizes in the regular sockets and a good size range for the deep wells. And, the ratched is a very high-quality one. Another set worthy of the Craftsman name.
I was surprised to find this set still made in the USA and 50% off at the time i bought it. The rachet is great and is quickly becoming my go to rachet
Great wrench set! Highly polish thin profile wrench makes it easy to maneuver around tight spots.
The high point of this set, by far, is the ratchet. Those thin-profile ratchets are nice. I'm pretty sure they've got 60 teeth in 'em and the action is smooth. I opened the ratchet up and it's even got two o-rings inside to keep dust and grime out. It's much nicer than the raised panel ratchets that come with the cheaper sets.
The sockets are adequate. The chrome looks pretty good though it's a little rough in the inside. This hasn't affected how well they function - they grip great and haven't rounded any fasteners - but it's not quite up to the level of what craftsman used to produce.
Overall though, it's a nice set and I'd recommend it for anyone who needs a good 1/2" starter set.
Every garage needs a 1/2-inch socket set with a wrench that you can rely on. If you work on vehicles and need some heavy duty wrenching, this is the set to own.
