The 3/8" drill Model 16496, with driver attachment 0-800 rpm speed. The torque adj. #10 is too weak to drive a 3" #8 wood screw into wood last 1/2", have to switch to drill setting to finish. Motor has the torque, just this attachment is poor design. The drill speed is adequate for drilling through 3/16" steel. The 9.6V Dewalt was better at driving screws.
I can't believe this was on sale for $60 when I got it. This is something I plan to have for life for all the basic around the house work. The detachable parts were a great idea and I plan to eventually complete the set. The sander is coming next, and instead of spending $50+ on a basic electric sander I just have to spend $30 on the attachment. A lot of savings in the long run. I would complain that it lacks the power for tougher jobs, but you shouldn't have bought this for those kind of jobs. This is a basic work horse, not a high-end super-power tool.
I love this drill. I use it daily for work and couldn't be happier. I purchased the impact attachment along with the reciprocating saw attachment and they all work very well. It is very nice to have one tool to do everything I need. I would recommend this to anyone.
I bought this and several of the attachments (sander, jigsaw, trim saw, impact, oscillating, hammerdrill, and reciprocating saw) and am a big fan so far. I've used it at my home and rental properties and have been pleased at the unit's performance. The key benefit to this system is the versatility combined with the compact nature of the set. Being able to carry all of these tools in a single small bag is a big deal if you have to be able to take your tools with you. I've seen on external websites where they say this is the same as the Black & Decker Matrix, but there is one major difference. While the drill units are comparable, the charger with the Craftsman is far superior.
Works well, brush spark can be seen from back but store said it was common
This is a great drill. I highly recommend it. I bought it for my husband and not only does he love it but I love using it. In fact this is his second one because his first one got shot when we took it shooting with us and he left it in the bucket by the ****** we put up. I had to immediately replace it because we loved it so much. It works so great and is so easy to use and the battery last longer than any we have used before.
Bought it in a pinch but im very happy with it, has plenty of power for a drill under 100 bucks it cant be beat
I bought it for my husband for Father day. We used it three times. Used all attachments without problems switching them and one day after using oscillating tool I wasn't able to remove the attachment. It stuck there. We tried different way - removed batteries, keeping switch on and off. Nothing worked. It just stuck so hard. I used such an attachment before so I was very surprised it happened. Very disappointed because I was bragging about this tools combo to all our friends. Now I have to buy a new drill and new oscillating tool since I can't use the rest of attachments (and I got them all), spent do much money on it. Besides I hurt my hands trying to remove it.
Nice and compact with very good power for a cordless. The batteries charge quickly and they last much better then the 19.2 volt setups that sears offers. Power is better then the 19.2 setup as well. Have used the Jigsaw, Sander and Drill setups. All did the job I needed them to. Now, this won't replace corded specialty power tools for the professional, but for around the home, I don't think you could ask for any more at this time.
Light weight and easy to use, love it
