I love this!! Has a long lasting battery with a power punch to it. Love the different attachments as well. Craftsman always coming up with new useful inventions!
Just a note.....purchase an extra battery.
Best cordless drill I've ever owned...Have been remodeling/enclosing back porch and except for framing, this drill with the circular saw and jigsaw attachments has done the entire job. I purchased a second battery when I got the attachments, so there was no stopping to wait for a charged battery. Overall an awesome product!
Being new to wood working, I was looking for a convenient power tool that I can simply add to, depending on the kind of work I needed to do. This fit the bill. The Bolt On comes with the drill/driver attachment. So far I have added the Reciprocating Saw, Trim Saw and Jigsaw. And, so far, I am happy with what they can do. My only complaint is that when it came time for me to add an Impact Driver Attachment, I can't find it anywhere. I just keep getting 'Out of stock'. As much as I like what I can do with it, so far, I wish I had done research to find a multi tool system that actually has all attachments available for purchase. I am giving this 4 stars since, like I said, I like what it's done for me, so far. But I would not recommend it to a friend. At least not until all attachments are available.
I bought this power tool system because it shares the same platform as the Black & Decker. I have a B&D 20V cordless, but not a Matrix. It's been a great drill. I had been needing a jig saw when I saw this system and its versatility. I'm glad I went with the Craftsman version, The B&D accessories aren't as widely available in variety. Sears carries all of them. Some of the other retailers are selling the same attachments for less, so I will save a few bucks. But Sears will get my dollar for the ones others don't sell. This tool is a win win!
I really only use this for normal around-the-house things. Fixing shelves, hanging curtains, etc. I am not too handy, but this simple drill is powerful enough for me. It quick charges and that's convenient sometimes when you forget to put the battery back on the charger. The one thing that annoys me is the buttons on the sides that switch the drill from screwing in/out are not labeled. My old drill had simple arrows showing which way they go. I have stripped a few screws thinking I was unscrewing and I screwed in with nowhere to go.
I had to uy a new drill because my 25 year-old Craftsman died. This is as good but much lighter.
With having arthritis it isn't easy to hold tools that have weight to them for any length of time. I enjoy working with my hands and this new drill makes it a whole lot easier with it's light weight design and longer battery time, not a lit of stops to wait for my battery to recharge. I am truly enjoying it.
Just bought to install kitchen cabinets. Has performed great! Looking forward to expanding usage and getting different attachments!
