The batteries (model # 11371) are small. I used them in a Sears 5 1/4 Circular saw. One lasted five minutes after a full charge and it did this twice. The other lasted about 18 minutes. I don't know if it has the same problem using it as a drill.
Sears has a bigger lithium battery (model # 11374) for $89.00 but you can buy two of the Ni Cad's (model # 11376) for $64.00.
The charger (model # 25926) works great though. It charged a couple of NiCad's quick, and worked when the charger that came with the other drill
As I have said in my other views of the 19.2 tools, of which I have many, the tools are all great and a good value except that the batteries, of all 19.2 types, are inferior. I probably have 8 bad ones and only have two left, one C3 and one Lithium ion. Three times I have bought drill promos to get the batteries and then throw away the drill (since I have six - they accumulate). I just a home owner, but being an engineer, I also have (smaller) sets from Dewalt and Hitachi, both of which are excellent. My advice, unfortunately given my investment in 19.2, is to buy Hitachi who has excellent tools and batteries at great prices (try a 10V refurb). I mentioned that Sears should have a "battery club" where you can turn in 5 bad ones and get one new one. This would be a smart marketing move and cost them very little.
Love the Craftsman C3 series of tools. This makes the 4th different tool that I have that uses the same batteries without having to worry about which battery do I need for this tool. Lots of power and works great with the Li-Ion battery
I got this as an upgrad to my old drill and it works great and the charge last for a long time . It does every thing from puting a screw in the wall to handeling hole saws with no problems. all in all a great drill.
This is a great drill, a little smaller than my other Craftsman drill. Enough power for around the house projects!
Very good value if you get it on sale. Also baateries can be used for a bunch of other tools making it versatile.
I like the design as well as the weight of this drill. But battery is very expensive.Comfortable to hold and use.Better than the 20V Craftsman drill.Reducing the price of battery will improve sales. Also reducing the size of charger. The charger is a big box that waste space in my tool stand.
I have had this drill for a few years now. I have used it hundreds of times around the house for small and big jobs. The battery life is great! I love the light indicator that shows how much juice is left. I loved the drill so much I went out and bought another for my job!
This drill has comparible power and battery life as drills with much higher price tags. Very Impressed.
For its size it delivers a lot of power. It is light weight yet powerful. The battery is long lasting and has a long shelf life as most of the chraftsman batteries. It will likely last you for a long time. The last chraftsman drill I had lasted 15 years and I expect that this one will last about the same. Some other brands do not make it 3 years.
I have had this drill for about 2 years now when they first came out. this drill has so many features I couldn't list them all but my favorites are the button to hit to see where your charge is, the 45 minute charger is great and usually is faster than that. All in all this is a can't miss drill.
