It is a nice table bar set the right size for my space love the wood finish and color
The table top is not real wood and it was difficult to put together. It was missing some screws as well. Otherwise the color is nice and it seems sturdy. The chairs also do not fit under the table well, they stick out farther due to the shelves and storage cubby. So if you have a rather small space even though the leaves fold down the chairs will still take up some extra room.
I put this together by myself; 1 person. The separate pieces were nice and heavy. The entire assembly process did take at least a couple of hours; but it was definitely well worth it! I have small children and we all sit at the table every night for dinner; the table is great, the chairs are great! I am very pleased!
Love the quality! A little difficult to put together(for my husband) but other than that, we love it. The storage space and display shelf are a great feature for this table. We also love the fold-down leaves. Perfect for small dining rooms. Great for entertainment when you need more space!
We chose this table and 4 chairs for its versatility and craftsmanship. The height of the table makes it comfortable for a casual meal or just to stop and chat on the phone or use the laptop. The folding sides make it easy to store against the wall. An excellent purchase!
This table and chair set is nice, solid and good price. The assembly however was rediculus. It took hours, required tools and was pretty difficult.
Wow, I have to say that this is one of the few tables that really have the adjustable size, quality and design like no other. I love the cabinet in the middle, the color, the fact that you can fold it and how sturdy this is it just amazes me. My wife assemble this table with no trouble, instructions were clear and she said it was piece of cake to put it all together, very easy indeed. I can't think of any cons so far but maybe this set is a bit heavy, but you get what you see in the picture. The guys at Sears took it to the second floor and it was very nice service I have to say.
This is a nightmare. The table looked great and pretty much that was the only thing positive about it. 1) On opening, we found some of the hardware needed for assembly were missing 2) The wood was chipped in many places on both the dining table and the chair 3) The table top screwed onto the base with 4 support screws. These screws fitted into pre-drilled metal casings on the table legs. One of these metal casings was missing and we could not fix the table top to the table base. 4) The chair assembly was a nightmare. The instructions had wrong labeling and you just have to make a guess as to which parts fit together to form a chair. 5) The seat of the chair was supposed to screw onto the chair frame using 8 screws. These screws had no pre-drilled positions and again leaves things for guessing. 6) Upon fixing the base of the chair to its frame, we found that the screws were not strong enough to hold the chair base to the frame and the chair seat wobbles and comes off with very little force applied. We stopped at this point to build this piece of junk. Returning it right away.
So the table top came slightly broken in two places. One place was cracked on the hinge and one support under the top was not fully attached which leads to the flip up support constantly falling out. These aren't huge issues really but enough to consider it damaged. With the issues we had getting it, I certainly wasn't going to return it. And then, it was short washers, two different types. I didn't really need them anyway so no big deal. Two of the locking pieces broken basically upon touching them so I had to go without. There are no holes for the screws to connect the seat top. The whole thing just reminded me of putting things together in the nineties where you never knew what parts you would have and not or what would break. It was just a big **** shoot and you better make it work cause getting those parts from China wasn't going to happen. So I got this all together in about two hours. It would have taken three if I hadn't had a drill, which isn't required apparently. Also, once app the chairs were put together every single one wobbles. Oh, I also build furniture as a hobby, so if you're going to get this that might help too.
We bought this when we moved into our apartment and wanted something new. It's been over a year ago and the set has held up quite nice. It was easy to assemble as I, a woman, didn't have any issues. Although I do love to put things together. Once assembled the pieces are pretty heavy and durable. Good quality wood for sure. I was only missing 1 plastic bolt lock that was missing. All else was included and properly labeled. After a year, there are a few marks and scratches on the table top due to the soft wood, but that wouldn't cause us to regret the purchase. I recommend this to anyone looking for a nice set for a small to medium space.
